So true. I had to take risks, be flexible, and be realistic. By realistic, I mean recognize that the path I originally (wow – it’s changed a lot since college) chose wasn’t really right in the long run. Personally, I enjoy all the twists and turns of life and work challenges. It keeps things fresh!

One of my favorite quotes, by Goethe, though restated by others (Coelho, The Alchemist, for example) is “Whatever you can do, or dream you can, begin it-boldness has genius, power and magic in it.” And this one (John O’Donohue, To Bless the Space Between Us): “To refuse to begin can be an act of great self neglect.” In order to transition, to dream, and to begin are critical elements as you well know :)
